Thapar University, one of the oldest technical institutions, is thought to be among the very best engineering colleges in India.
It holds an entrance test for admission to its Master in Computer Applications (MCA) Program in regular or distance education mode. The entrance test will be for the admission to the 120 seats of the regular MCA program.

TIET 2011 Application Form:
The Application Form and the information brochure can be collected from the university counter on cash payment of Rs. 1000/ or through post by sending a demand draft of Rs. 1050. They can also be downloaded from the official website- www.tiet.ac.in and will be available on the university counter from mid March 2011.

TIET 2011 Important Dates:

* Date of Issuing of Application Form: Mid-May, 2011
* Last date for submitting the Application Form: May 4th week, 2011
* Date of the MCA Entrance Test: Mid June, 2011
* Expected date of result: June 3rd week, 2011


TIET 2011 Eligibility:
Candidates need to pass their graduation under the 10+2+3 pattern with mathematics as one of the subjects (or at the 10+2 level) for admission to the MCA program. The NRI candidates and Foreign Nationals need to have 60% marks in their 3 year Bachelor degree.

TIET 2011Test Pattern:
The Entrance test will be of one paper for 3 hours. It tests the knowledge of candidates in Mathematics, Computer Awareness, General Knowledge and Analytical ability.
